Dallas, Texas, December 3, 2024 — The 2024 Alliance Fastpitch Awards Social brought together members of the softball community to celebrate an incredible year of achievements and honor our standout organizations, member leagues, and individuals from the 2024 Season.

 

Held at Cowboy Chow in Dallas, Texas, the event featured food and beverages sponsored by Connect Sports and the Texas Fastpitch League (TFL). The evening was hosted by Tori Vidales of Athletes Unlimited, a two-time NFCA All-American, ESPN softball analyst, and member of Team Mexico at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

 

The gathering recognized excellence in the Alliance Fastpitch community through several prestigious awards that celebrated on-field performance, dedication, and commitment to the sport.

 

Below is a summary of the awards presented and their significance.

 

Club Awards
The Club Awards recognized the outstanding cumulative efforts of entire organizations in the 14U, 16U, and 18U age divisions based on their final standings at the Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series (AFCS).

 

Rising Club Award
The Rising Club Award highlighted the St. Louis Chaos for their significant improvement in AFCS rankings, with St. Louis Chaos 09 National Perone-Beatty 14U leaping to a ninth-place finish in 2024. This organization demonstrated remarkable progress, showcasing their commitment to growth and development within the Alliance community.

 

Legacy Award
The Legacy Award celebrated Texas Glory for their consistency in top AFCS finishes over the past three seasons. Their unwavering dedication to excellence and a legacy of champions earned them this esteemed recognition.

 

Commissioner Cup
The Texas Fastpitch League (TFL) took home the Commissioner Cup for their league-wide success at the AFCS, with standout performances across multiple age divisions. Notable finishes included the Texas Bombers and Impact Gold in the 18U and 14U National Champion positions and numerous other teams earning top finishes in their respective age groups.

 

All In Award
Jennie Ritter, Wilson Fastpitch Business Manager and former 2005 Women’s College World Series Champion pitcher for Michigan, received the All In Award for her unwavering support and contributions to the Alliance Fastpitch mission. Her work with Wilson brands, including EvoShield, DeMarini, and Louisville Slugger, has advanced opportunities and resources for athletes nationwide.

 

Game Ball Award
Derek Allister, founder of OnDeck Softball, was honored with the Game Ball Award for his significant contributions to the Alliance Fastpitch. As Chair of the Seeding Committee and a member of the All-Star Committee, his leadership and expertise have been instrumental in shaping the Alliance’s success.

 

The evening also reflected on past winners from 2023, including Impact Gold (Club Champion) and the Heart of America Fastpitch League (Commissioner Cup), Oklahoma Athletics (Rising Club), Corona Angels (Bronze Club and Legacy award), and Texas Glory (Silver Club), setting the stage for a new year of achievements and progress.

These achievements are a testament to the Alliance’s mission of unifying the sport, leveling the playing field, and creating opportunities for athletes to thrive both on and off the field. Together, we celebrate the collaboration, recognition, and community that continue to drive the future of fastpitch softball forward.
