Alliance Fastpitch and Natasha Watley Foundation Announce Strategic Partnership to Empower Young Female Softball Players
Anaheim, CA – The Alliance Fastpitch LLC (AF) and the Natasha Watley Foundation (NWF) are proud to announce a new partnership designed to empower and support young female athletes, particularly those from underserved communities. The two organizations will collaborate on a range of initiatives aimed at expanding access to softball, providing scholarships, and fostering future leaders in the sport.
Under the terms of the co-branded partnership, both organizations will combine resources to support athletes through joint scholarship programs, collaborative fundraising efforts, and the creation of new opportunities in communities where access to organized sports is limited. This partnership is designed to elevate the missions of both organizations and provide meaningful resources to help young women succeed in their athletic and personal pursuits.
Key Partnership Highlights:
- Co-branded Scholarships and Sponsorship Programs:
AF will contribute $5,000 annually to NWF’s scholarship fund, helping young athletes access the resources they need for training, education, and travel to tournaments. As part of the scholarship initiative, AF will also provide Alliance Fastpitch Memberships to scholarship recipients, ensuring they have access to high-quality coaching and competitive opportunities. - Expansion of the Futures League Program:
In an effort to break down barriers to entry and bring softball to underserved areas, the two organizations will partner to expand the Futures League. This league serves as a developmental bridge from recreational all-star play to competitive travel ball, providing high-quality training and mentorship opportunities for players, while also supporting the development of coaches in underserved communities. - Collaborative Fundraising Events:
The Alliance Fastpitch and Natasha Watley Foundation will team up to raise funds and awareness through a variety of joint initiatives. Notable events include the Geri Ann Glasco Home Run Derby, a charity event hosted during the Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series (AFCS) and designed to generate financial support for both organizations’ scholarship programs and the expansion of NWF Leagues. Both organizations will look to host additional charity tournaments and events, leveraging their combined networks to amplify their impact. - Corporate Sponsorships:
Together, AF and NWF will engage corporate sponsors to secure funding for their initiatives, including the launch of co-branded campaigns on social media and marketing platforms to highlight the success stories of athletes impacted by the partnership.
“This partnership is a natural alignment of our shared missions to empower young female athletes,” said Jami Lobpries, CEO of Alliance Fastpitch. “By combining our resources with the Natasha Watley Foundation, we can open doors for young women, providing them not only with athletic opportunities but with mentorship, education, and financial support to fuel their passion for the game.”
“The Natasha Watley Foundation is excited to partner with the Alliance Fastpitch to make a lasting impact on the lives of young athletes across the country,” said Natasha Watley, founder of the Natasha Watley Foundation. “Together, we will break down the barriers to participation, particularly for girls in underserved communities, and help create a brighter future for the next generation of softball players.”
Through this alliance, both organizations aim to provide increased access to competitive and recreational softball leagues, offer financial support through scholarships, and foster an inclusive and empowering environment for young athletes to thrive.
