Courtney Hargrove Named Alliance National Player of the Month for May

Courtney Hargrove

The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Courtney Hargrove (2027) from the TFL as National Player of the Month for her remarkable play in May 2024. Courtney Hargrove, a versatile player for Texas Bombers Gold National, excels in multiple positions—the outfield and first base. Her May stats include a 0.818 batting average, a 0.840 OBP, 2 homeruns, 2 triples, 5 doubles, 9 singles, 15 RBIs, and 3 stolen bases.

Courtney Hargrove’s softball journey begins at the age of 4, when she first steps onto the field and falls in love with the game. For Courtney, softball isn’t just a sport—it’s an opportunity to compete against teams from all over the nation while playing alongside her best friends. The thrill of competition and the bonds she forms with her teammates keep her passionate about the game.

One of Courtney’s most cherished memories in softball is from the Alliance Nationals in Oklahoma City in 2022. During a game delay, instead of feeling frustrated, Courtney and her teammates, along with players from other teams, come together in the parking lot. There, they start dancing to music, making the best of the situation and creating lasting memories in the process.

Courtney’s favorite player is Ashley Prange, whose style of play inspires her to push her own limits. Outside of softball, Courtney enjoys hanging out with her friends and going on runs, finding joy in staying active and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

Courtney’s current goals are both athletic and academic. In softball, she strives to be a consistent player on both offense and defense, playing with intensity and commitment every time she steps onto the field. She aims to make it onto a Division 1 college softball team, dedicating herself to reaching that level. Academically, her goal is to manage her time well, try new things, and maintain straight A’s throughout high school—a reflection of her drive for success both on and off the field. The Alliance Fastpitch commends Courtney Hargrove on her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Month, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to the sport and her commitment to personal and athletic growth.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
