Khloee Shoemake

The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Khloee Shoemake (2028) from TFL as the National Player of the Month for her exceptional performance in April 2024. Khloee, a versatile player for Impact Gold National Mata, shines in various positions, particularly in the outfield. Her remarkable April stats include a .750 batting average, a .786 on-base percentage, 9 singles, 3 RBIs, and 1 stolen base—an impressive showing of her all-around skills and consistency.

Khloee’s softball journey began at the age of 4, when she started playing Pixie 1, following in the footsteps of her older brother. Inspired by watching him play baseball, Khloee quickly developed a deep love for the game. She says there’s so much to love about softball, from the friendships she’s built over the years to the excitement she feels every time she steps onto the field. “It’s just an amazing feeling,” she reflects.

A cherished memory for Khloee is from the summer of 2023, when her team secured 3rd place at the Colorado Sparkler. “Everyone was so excited and happy,” she recalls. “It was a very fun time regardless of winning first or not! It was one of the first of many new experiences I hope to enjoy with my team.”

Khloee’s favorite player is Danica Coffey, who plays for LSU. Khloee admires Danica’s skill on the field and her positive energy. Outside of softball, Khloee enjoys spending time with her family and friends and relaxing by watching movies on Netflix.

Looking ahead, Khloee’s long-term goal is to play college softball at the highest level possible while working toward a degree in the medical field. Her dedication to both her athletic and academic pursuits continues to drive her forward. The Alliance Fastpitch congratulates Khloee on her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Month, acknowledging her exceptional contributions to the sport and her commitment to personal and athletic growth.

Khloee’s coach, Cheyenne Mata, describes her as “a tremendous asset to our team.” According to Cheyenne, Khloee’s work ethic and perfectionism set her apart. “Her speed is untouchable, and she’s the ultimate utility player,” Cheyenne explains. “She’s played all 3 outfield positions, shortstop, second base, and recently even played third base in a major game. She does whatever it takes for the team to succeed and never makes it about herself.” Cheyenne adds, “Khloee is an honor student with great integrity, and she’s always looking for ways to help others. She loves attending church and giving back to her community.” One of Cheyenne’s favorite memories of Khloee is when she first joined the team in January and faced challenges adjusting to the new environment. After a conversation where Cheyenne expressed belief in her abilities, Khloee worked hard and, in the very next tournament, hit over .500. She was named the TFL Jr Stage #1 Offensive Player of the Tournament, a moment that marked a turning point in her development.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
