The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Meryl Jones 2027 from the TFL as National Player of the Month for her remarkable play in November 2024. Meryl, a versatile player for TX Bombers 18u Gold Lagasse, excels on the mound.. Her November stats include a .720 batting average, 14 singles, 3 triples, 1 homerun 23 RBIs, and 1 stolen base. 

Meryl Jones’s softball journey begins when she plays a variety of sports growing up, but once she joins Little League softball, it quickly becomes her favorite. She enjoys traveling with her teams, meeting new people, and competing against skilled players, which only deepens her love for the game.

One of Meryl’s most cherished memories comes during a semi-final game when she hits her first grand slam. This powerful moment helps her team advance to the championship, which they eventually win, making it a memory she will always treasure.

Meryl’s favorite softball player is Montana Fouts, and outside of softball, she finds joy in playing volleyball, hanging out with her friends, and walking her dogs whenever she’s not on the field.

Looking ahead, Meryl has set clear goals for herself. She aims to win a district title with her high school team and hopes to continue playing softball in college, working hard to make that dream a reality.  The Alliance Fastpitch commends Meryl Jones on her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Month, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to the sport and her commitment to personal and athletic growth.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
