Sydney Cobb

The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Sydney Cobb 2027 from the RMFL as National Player of the Month for her remarkable play in November 2024. Sydney, a versatile player for Colorado Bombers 16 Gold-Light, excels in multiple positions—OF/P. Her November stats include a 0.654 batting average, a 2.141 OPS, 7 singles, 3 doubles, 3 triples, 4 homeruns, 16 RBIs, and 2 stolen bases.

Sydney Cobb’s softball journey begins at the age of six. Raised in a family where sports run deep—her father a Division 1 baseball player and her aunt a Division 1 softball player—Sydney’s love for the game is ingrained in her. Her passion for softball ignites when she receives a tee and a bat as a gift at the age of four, sparking a lifelong dedication. Ever since, she plays every year, determined to excel on the field.

One of Sydney’s favorite memories in softball unfolds during her high school league championship game this past fall. Her team is trailing 3-0 in the 5th inning, but Sydney’s determination shines when she hits a double, narrowing the gap to 3-2. She then scores on a teammate’s double, tying the game at 3-3. In the bottom of the 6th inning, Sydney steps up to the plate again and smashes a three-run home run, propelling her team to a 6-3 victory and clinching the league title.

While softball is her primary passion, Sydney also enjoys spending time away from the diamond. She finds joy in artistic pursuits such as painting, reading, baking, and snow skiing.

Sydney is also focused on her goals. Academically, she strives to be recognized as one of the top students at her high school. In softball, her ambitions are high: she wants to win a state championship after narrowly missing out the previous year and dreams of leading her club team to victory in the Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series. Her ultimate dream is to play Division 1 college softball and, one day, compete in the Women’s College World Series. After college, Sydney envisions a career as a lawyer, blending her love for competition and hard work with a desire to make an impact off the field. The Alliance Fastpitch commends Sydney Cobb on her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Month, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to the sport and her commitment to personal and athletic growth.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
