The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Jaylene Guadagnolo from the PCFL as National Player of the Month for her remarkable play in January 2025. Jaylene, a versatile player for Athletics Mercado Cavazos, excels in multiple positions—OF, 2B, SS. Her January stats include a 0.833 batting average, a 0.857 OBP, 4 singles, and 1 triple.
Jaylene Guadagnolo’s softball journey begins at age 7. Before discovering softball, she tries dance, gymnastics, and soccer, but it’s the encouragement from a few friends that leads her to give softball a chance. From the moment she steps onto the field, Jaylene falls in love with the game and has dedicated her heart to it ever since.
One of Jaylene’s favorite memories comes from the out-of-state tournaments she plays with her team. The experience of traveling and competing with her teammates brings not only unforgettable moments on the field but also countless memories off the field, making each tournament a special part of her journey.
Jaylene’s favorite player is AJ Andrews, an athlete she admires deeply. As a fellow slapper, Jaylene looks up to AJ for her exceptional athleticism and skills. AJ’s next-level performance continues to inspire Jaylene to push herself and improve, always striving to learn from one of the best in the game. Outside of softball, Jaylene enjoys a variety of activities. She loves camping, especially with her friends and family, creating lasting memories in the great outdoors. Cooking is another passion, with sushi being her all-time favorite dish to prepare. When it comes to working out, Jaylene enjoys the process of getting stronger and better, which motivates her and keeps her in a positive, focused mindset.
Currently, Jaylene has several goals in mind. She aims to get faster on the base path, maintain a 4.0 GPA, and perfect her mechanics in every aspect of the game. One of her specific targets is to increase her exit velocity off the tee to 65 MPH before the summer begins. Jaylene’s ultimate goal is to play softball at the collegiate level while studying law, combining her love for the game with her academic ambitions. The Alliance Fastpitch commends Jaylene Guadagnolo on her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Month, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to the sport and her commitment to personal and athletic growth.
What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?
The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.
Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
