Taylor, a versatile player for OC Batbusters Stith/Byrd, excels in multiple positions—OF, P. Her January stats include through 11.2 innings pitched, she had 10 strikeouts and a 0 ERA.

Taylor Goodwin’s softball journey begins at a young age, inspired by her mom. At just 4 years old, she starts playing T-ball with the boys, and as soon as she’s able, she transitions to 6U softball. From the moment Taylor steps onto the field, she knows she wants to be a pitcher. She understands the hard work it will take, and she’s determined to put in the effort. Now, she plays for the #1 12U team in the country. Taylor loves the sport because it allows her to compete alongside her best friends, who are also among the best 12U players in the country. While this brings a lot of pressure, she thrives on the challenge, always ready to face the opponents’ best shot.

One of Taylor’s most cherished memories comes from winning the 2024 Tier 1 Alliance National Championship as a first-year 12U team. This victory is especially meaningful to her because, just the year before, she had lost the 10U PGF National Championship game with her coach and many of the same players.

Taylor’s favorite player is Jennie Finch, whose pitching prowess continues to inspire her. Outside of softball, Taylor enjoys spending time at the beach and playing volleyball with her friends.

Looking to the future, Taylor’s current goal is to win the 2025 Alliance National Championship and become the first 12U team to achieve back-to-back championships. What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
