Izzy Zober (2029), representing the NWFL, earns national recognition as Alliance Fastpitch’s National Pitcher of the Month for May 2025. A standout for the Outlaws Fastpitch organization, Zober brings a powerful presence to both the circle and first base. Her versatility, discipline, and leadership help anchor her team throughout the month.

In May, Zober dominates in the circle, tossing 10.2 innings without allowing a single earned run. She finishes the month with 12 strikeouts, allowing just 10 hits, issuing only one walk, and earning one win with no losses—good for a perfect 0.00 ERA. Her command, confidence, and poise make her a key piece of the Outlaws’ success.

Zober’s softball journey begins at age six when she signs up for her local rec league. From her first game, she falls in love with the sport. That early passion fuels a drive to grow, and over the years she transitions from rec to travel ball—eventually finding a competitive home with the Outlaws. Now a rising freshman at Fox Chapel Area High School, Zober is eager to continue her upward trajectory.

But her impact goes far beyond her local league. As a dual citizen of the U.S. and Israel, Zober also plays internationally for the Israel National Softball Teams. She has represented Israel in WBSC Europe tournaments three times—twice earning silver with the 13U team in Italy and once with the historic inaugural 15U squad in Prague, Czech Republic. This year, she prepares to compete with the 18U team in Spain.

One of Zober’s favorite softball memories comes from that 15U tournament in Prague. Stepping onto the field, she feels a deep sense of pride knowing she’s representing her heritage and family roots. It’s a moment that blends her love of softball with a larger purpose—connecting her identity with global competition and cultural pride.

Her favorite player to watch is Jordy Bahl, admired for her dual-threat ability and competitive fire. Like Bahl, Zober excels as both a pitcher and hitter, bringing energy and intensity to every play.

When she’s not on the field, Zober loves to travel, hang out with friends, and listen to music. She also enjoys rowing crew, working out, playing saxophone in the school band, and diving into math and science. Whether she’s in the classroom or the weight room, her commitment to growth remains constant.

Zober’s goals are grounded in consistency and improvement. On the field, she’s focused on sharpening her skills and staying locked in mentally to compete at high levels. Off the field, she’s aiming for academic success and preparing for a future career—possibly in medicine or engineering. Whatever path she chooses, she’s determined to challenge herself and lead with purpose.

Alliance Fastpitch proudly honors Izzy Zober as National Pitcher of the Month, celebrating not only her excellence in the circle but also her dedication to the sport, her team, and her continued personal growth.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program? 

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
