UCLA

I chose UCLA not only for the culture of the school but the amount of diversity the whole campus brings. I am from a very small town so going to ucla for the first time is eye opening and I truly want to go to a school that is going to set me up for success beyond softball.

I try to model my game after Taylor Pleasants because her confidence and ability to stay consistent while playing is what I think of when I’m hitting or on the field.

My sister played softball at the University of Virginia where she pitched and that also was one of the reasons I became a catcher was because I wanted to be able to catch her when she would come down for college.

In softball I want my legacy to run deeper than the sport. I want to be known for changing peoples life’s and inspiring young girls to strive and work hard to play this sport and eventually succeed.

I remember the first camp I had ever gone to was a UCLA camp when I was 8. I still remember to that day wanting to go to UCLA and it’s crazy that my life has come full circle and I get to experience that very soon.
