The Northeast Fastpitch League (NEFL) has announced a leadership transition, naming Richele Hall as its new Commissioner. Hall, a longtime board member and respected leader in the fastpitch community, succeeds founding Commissioner Adam Dorman, who will remain active on the NEFL Board. With a strong foundation in place, Hall brings a clear vision for regional growth and a deep commitment to advancing opportunities for athletes and organizations across the Northeast.

May 22, 2025 — The Northeast Fastpitch League (NEFL), a proud member league of the Alliance Fastpitch, is thrilled to welcome Richele Hall as its new Commissioner. Hall steps into the role following the dedicated leadership of Adam Dorman, who will continue supporting the NEFL’s mission in a new role on the Board.

The NEFL is one of nine regional leagues under the Alliance Fastpitch umbrella, which connects travel softball teams across the country through a unified structure of competition, development, and championship pathways. The NEFL serves teams across the Northeastern United States, with a mission to elevate the game of fastpitch softball by providing meaningful competition, player development opportunities, and a strong community for athletes and coaches.

“It has been an honor to be the commissioner of the NEFL since its inception,” Dorman said. “At this time, I will be stepping out of that role and taking a different position on the board, so that I can focus more on my Mystics organization as that continues to grow. One thing I pride myself on in my program is building our student-athletes into strong leaders. Our sport should be led by strong women that all players could view as a role model, and the Northeast league is no exception.”

With full support from Dorman, Hall steps into the role backed by years of experience on the NEFL Board. Her proven dedication and strategic insight make her a strong leader to guide the next phase of growth for the Alliance Fastpitch.

“I am thrilled that Richele Hall of Team PA, who has been on our board for a number of years, is willing to pick up the mantle and take our league to new heights,” Dorman said. “She is smart, driven, and most importantly, loves this sport and is all about the kids. I am excited to see where her leadership takes us and am looking forward to working with her for many more years to come.”

Hall brings a wealth of experience to her new role. A graduate of St. Francis University (PA), Hall has coached at the collegiate level across NCAA Division I, II, and III programs for seven years. She currently serves as President, Recruiting Coordinator, and Head Coach of Team Pennsylvania Fastpitch. Additionally, she plays a key role on the Alliance Fastpitch National All-Star Committee, helping shape the future of elite competition.

Hall expressed her excitement and gratitude as she steps into her new role. She emphasized her vision for the league’s future and the importance of collaboration and growth across the region.

“I am honored to be named the new NEFL commissioner,” Hall said. “Leading the NEFL into the future and educating organization leaders in our region on the benefits of the Alliance and NEFL will be paramount in our growth.”

Hall steps into her new role with a clear vision for the future, already outlining plans to expand the NEFL’s presence across the region. She credits much of the league’s current momentum to the strong foundation built by Adam Dorman and is committed to building upon that legacy.

“Our first goal for the NEFL will be to expand our footprint within the region,” Hall said. “We will be adding some new members to our leadership team and have continued support from the current team. I think it is important to surround yourself with like-minded, passionate people that know how to get stuff done. A huge thank you to my friend and colleague, Adam Dorman, who has served as the Commissioner of the NEFL since its inception. [His] hard work has paved our way forward, and I look forward to our continued work together. I am extremely grateful and humbled. Now it’s time to get to work.”
