Madison Ellis Named Alliance National Player of the Month for December

The Alliance Fastpitch is proud to recognize Madison Ellis of Idaho Batbusters Fore (NWFL) as a December National Player of the Month.

Ellis had an outstanding month at the plate, posting an incredible .875 batting average, along with a 2.650 OPS and 1.750 slugging percentage, demonstrating both consistency and power in the lineup. Her offensive production helped lead her team while showcasing the type of performance that makes her one of the standout hitters in the Northwest Fastpitch League.

Madison’s love for the game began at a young age while watching her father coach her older sister’s club team. She first stepped onto the field playing T-ball before moving into coach pitch and eventually joining her first 10U club team at eight years old. By the time she was ten, she had already moved up to compete on a 12U club team, quickly developing a passion for the game.

For Ellis, softball is about much more than competition.

“I love playing because it allows me to build connections with people, show what I’m capable of, and most of all, have fun between the white lines,” she shared.

One of Madison’s most meaningful softball memories came during a tournament when she was asked to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

What she didn’t know was that the catcher would be someone very special.

“My favorite softball memory was throwing the first pitch during a tournament and realizing I was pitching to my dad who had just returned from deployment. When he took off his mask, I dropped everything and ran to him. Feeling the support and love from both teams in that moment was incredible.”

Off the field, Madison enjoys spending time with friends and family, hanging out with her two dogs, and going shopping.

Her current goals include maintaining at least a 3.9 GPA in school, becoming a leader and mentor to others, and continuing to grow as a teammate and defensive leader in the outfield. She also has her sights set on a personal milestone at the plate.

“On the field, one of my goals is to hit my first over-the-fence home run and continue to be a strong leader in the outfield.”

Madison also looks up to Oklahoma legend Jocelyn Alo, whose power and presence in the game inspire her as she continues to grow as a hitter.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
