Olivia Malitz Named Alliance Fastpitch National Pitcher of the Month for July
The Alliance Fastpitch proudly recognizes Olivia Malitz (2027) of the Texas Fastpitch League as the National Pitcher of the Month for her standout performance in July 2025. A force on the mound for Texas Bombers 18u Gold Lagasse, Olivia demonstrates grit, focus, and consistency every time she steps into the circle.
In July, Olivia posted an 8-2 record across 51.2 innings pitched, racking up 31 strikeouts and holding opponents to a 1.35 ERA. Her ability to command the game and keep hitters off balance highlights her growth as a top-tier pitcher in the league.
Olivia’s journey in softball begins at the age of 6 in little league tee ball. By 8, she takes an interest in pitching, and by 12U, she joins the select ball ranks. Softball becomes more than just a sport—it becomes her teacher. Through it, Olivia learns resilience, leadership, and how to focus on the little details that make a big difference.
Among her favorite softball memories is one from a rainy 14U tournament in Louisiana. As the skies open up, the game is delayed, but the moment becomes unforgettable. Olivia and her teammates sit in the dugout, playing games and sharing laughs. It’s a memory that stays with her and reminds her why she loves the sport.
Looking ahead, Olivia has big aspirations off the field as well. She plans to major in chemistry and pursue a career as a pharmacologist or toxicologist, proving her dedication not just to athletics, but also to academic and professional excellence.

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, League Leadership receives and reviews a detailed stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL). Based on this report, the committee selects League Players of the Month.
Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
