Cheyenne Lamont Named Alliance National Player of the Month for January

NPOM Lamont Cheyenne NEFL

The Alliance Fastpitch proudly recognizes Cheyenne Lamont (2028) of the Northeast Fastpitch League (NEFL) as the Alliance National Player of the Month for her outstanding performance in January. Cheyenne, a standout athlete for Lady Dukes Borelli, delivered an exceptional month at the plate, posting a remarkable .778 batting average and an impressive .857 on-base percentage. Her offensive production included 7 hits—4 singles, 2 doubles, and 1 home run—while driving in 6 RBIs and finishing with a dominant 2.190 OPS.

Cheyenne’s softball journey began at just 4 years old playing t-ball. Her passion for the game grew through her experience with All-Stars in 8u, which ultimately led her to travel softball in 10u. Since then, she has continued to develop and embrace the competitive side of the sport, fueling her love for the game.

One of Cheyenne’s favorite softball memories came in a championship game in West Virginia. With the game tied in extra innings and runners in scoring position, she delivered a walk-off hit to secure the win—an unforgettable moment that highlights her ability to perform under pressure.

She looks up to Bri Ellis as her favorite softball player and draws inspiration from her success at the highest levels of the game.

Outside of softball, Cheyenne enjoys hunting with her dad, shooting trap for the Bentworth trap team, and spending time with friends and shopping.

Looking ahead, Cheyenne is focused on refining her swing mechanics and increasing her exit velocity, while also prioritizing her academics and continuing to grow her faith. Her dedication both on and off the field makes her a deserving recipient of this national recognition.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
