Jess Otto Named Alliance Fastpitch National Pitcher of the Month for September

The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Jess Otto (2030) from the NEFL as National Pitcher of the Month for her remarkable play in September 2025. Jess, a dedicated pitcher for Pennsbury Gems Elite 14u, excelled over 9 innings, recording 11 strikeouts and posting a 0.78 ERA.

Jess’s softball journey began at age four in T-ball, playing on teams with her sister and friends, which sparked her love for the sport. Around the ages of eight and nine, her Poppy took her for pitching lessons, where she discovered her passion for pitching. A cherished softball memory for Jess is racing around the bases after her Little League games, as well as playing alongside some of her best friends and her sister.

Jess’s favorite player is Karlyn Pickens. Outside of softball, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing volleyball, visiting the beach and lakes, paddleboarding, and shopping.

Jess’s current goals are always to be a good teammate, increase her pitching speed, and continue developing her skills to play softball in college while pursuing a degree in healthcare. The Alliance Fastpitch commends Jess on her well-deserved recognition as Pitcher of the Month, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to the sport and her commitment to personal and athletic growth.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program? 

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, League Leadership receives and reviews a detailed stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL). Based on this report, the committee selects League Players of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
