The Alliance Fastpitch is proud to recognize Cheyenne Sterling of Power Surge Walling/Sterling 2030 (PCFL) as a December National Player of the Month.

Sterling delivered an exceptional month offensively, posting an impressive .692 batting average, along with a 1.791 OPS and 1.077 slugging percentage. Her ability to consistently produce at the plate while contributing as both a shortstop and pitcher highlights her versatility and impact on the field.

Cheyenne’s journey in softball began at a very young age.

“I started playing softball when I was four years old for Alpine Fastpitch,” she shared.

A big part of her inspiration comes from her older sister, Cassidy Sterling, who helped spark her love for the game.

“I look up to my big sister Cassidy Sterling and I love it when we work on softball together.”

While competition and performance are important, Cheyenne says some of her most meaningful memories in the sport come from the friendships she has built along the way.

“Some of my favorite memories in softball are the friendships that I’ve made throughout the years.”

Outside of softball, Cheyenne enjoys spending time with her friends whenever she isn’t on the field.

Looking ahead, Cheyenne has clear goals both academically and athletically.

“My goals are to keep good grades and hope to play in college someday.”

Her favorite softball player is Sis Bates, whose defensive excellence and leadership continue to inspire the next generation of infielders.

With her strong performance this season and dedication to improving her game, Cheyenne continues to establish herself as a rising talent in the Pacific Coast Fastpitch League.

Congratulations to Cheyenne Sterling on being named a December Alliance Fastpitch National Player of the Month.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
