Natalie Jia named Alliance Faspitch National Player of the Month for October

The Alliance Fastpitch proudly recognizes Natalie Jia (2029) of the PCFL as the Alliance National Player of the Month for her remarkable performance in October 2025. A standout catcher for Flash Elite Alusa/Chong 14U, Jia records an outstanding .711 batting average and .732 on-base percentage, tallying 27 hits, including 14 singles, five doubles, and eight triples, driving in 20 RBIs, and posting a powerful 1.995 OPS.

Jia first tried softball as a new activity, not realizing how profoundly it would shape her life. From the moment she stepped on the field, she fell in love with the game. Softball quickly became a source of joy, fueling her competitive spirit and bringing her unmatched happiness. Over the years, Natalie has grown both mentally and physically with every swing she takes and every ball she blocks. Today, she can’t imagine life without the yellow ball and is determined to continue playing at the collegiate level.

Jia’s favorite softball memory took place during the very tournament in which she earned her National Player of the Month recognition. That weekend, she hit .611 with six triples, a double, and nine singles. But what made the experience truly unforgettable wasn’t the stats—it was the pride she felt in showing up for her team, competing in nine total games. Even after sustaining an elbow injury that sidelined her for two weeks, she wouldn’t have changed a thing. The weekend served as a powerful reminder of just how much she loves the game and how deeply committed she is to her team.

The 2029 names Mika Chong as her favorite softball player.

Outside of softball, Jia enjoys baking, spending time with friends, and making memories with her family. Whether she’s trying out a new recipe or relaxing with loved ones, these off-the-field moments

Natalie Jia’s current goals on the softball field include maintaining consistency in her hitting, keeping a high on-base percentage, and staying smooth in her defensive play—whether that’s through precise throws or blocking balls in the dirt. Off the field, she’s committed to sustaining a 4.0 GPA and nurturing positive relationships with everyone she meets.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, League Leadership receives and reviews a detailed stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL). Based on this report, the committee selects League Players of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
