The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Chloe Gillis (2028) from the PCFL as National Player of the Month for her remarkable play in October 2024. Chloe Gillis, a versatile player for Firecrackers Brashear/Smith, excels in multiple positions—first base and pitcher. Her October stats include a .667 batting average, 6 doubles, 8 singles, and 9 RBIs. Through 11 innings pitched, she had 6 strikeouts and a 5.73 ERA.
Chloe Gillis begins her softball journey at the age of four, inspired by her older sister who plays the game. Growing up at the softball fields, Chloe eagerly watches her sister and can’t wait for her turn to step onto the field. Her parents often joke that no matter where they are, Chloe would always be walking around doing the windmill pitching motion—whether in a store, a restaurant, or even at her sister’s hitting lessons. From a young age, Chloe shows a fierce competitive spirit, and her love for the game is undeniable. As a pitcher, she loves controlling the pace of the game—there’s truly nothing she loves more.
A cherished memory for Chloe is making the 8U All Stars as a six-year-old, a huge accomplishment that marks the beginning of many Championship Sundays with Rancho Trabuco girls softball. Over the years, she forms lifelong friendships, and the bonds she creates through softball remain a central part of her journey.
Chloe’s favorite player is Jordyn Bahl, an inspiration to her both on and off the field. Outside of softball, Chloe stays active in other ways. She plays club flag football, enjoys riding her e-bike with friends, and is an active participant in her church’s Life Group and High School Ministry with Saddleback Church.
Looking to the future, Chloe has set a clear goal: she wants to play Division 1 college softball. Her dedication to the sport and her desire to keep improving are evident in her every move. The Alliance Fastpitch commends Chloe Gillis on her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Month, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to the sport and her commitment to personal and athletic growth.
What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?
The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.
Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
