Avery Cox Named Alliance Fastpitch National Pitcher of the Month For November
The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Avery Cox (2031) from the TFL as National Pitcher of the Month for her remarkable play in November 2025. Avery Cox, a pitcher for Bombers Gold American, plays the pitcher position. Her November stats include 33.2 innings pitched, 79 strikeouts, and a 1.25 ERA.
Avery Cox’s softball journey began when she states, “I picked up my first bat at three years old, hitting off a traffic cone in the backyard every day with my dad.” She explains, “As I improved, the goals kept moving. First over the neighbor’s fence, then two houses over, and eventually over a two-story house for a home run.” At age 4, she joined her first Little League team in Stockton, California. After moving to San Antonio, she began coach pitch and continued training with her dad. At eight years old, she made her pitching debut and shares, “That’s when I discovered my love for striking hitters out, stealing bases, and imposing my will at the plate.” She adds, “The work started early, and the passion has only grown since.”
A cherished softball memory for Avery Cox is: “I’ll always remember my first over the fence home run and the experience of winning the PGF National Championship in Huntington Beach, California.” She continues, “But winning the 10U Elite Invitational in Ruston, Louisiana with my Athletics Mercado TX National 2031 team was especially meaningful and stands out as one of my favorite moments in the game.”
Avery Cox’s favorite player is Mia Scott, stating, “Mia Scott is a beast that plays with heart and
hustle!” She explains, “We similarly attack the game of softball and share a similar skill set and
attributes on both offense and defense. Horns Up!”
Outside of softball, she shares, “I love video games, thrill rides like roller coasters and waterslides, spending time with friends, and doing hair.” She adds, “And you’ll never catch me turning down a pedicure. Thanks, Mom!”
Avery Cox’s current goals are reflected in her statement: “As a strikeout power pitcher, my individual goal is to throw 70 mph before starting my high school career.” She continues, “As we prepare for the spring season, our team’s goal is to become 12U Alliance National Champions.”
Off the field, she says, “I take my studies seriously, maintaining a 4.0 GPA, while continuing to develop my overall skill set and striving to accomplish every goal I set.” The Alliance Fastpitch commends Avery Cox on her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Month, acknowledging her contributions to the sport and her commitment to personal and athletic growth.
What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?
The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month. Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score in League games in AGL, so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
