Meet the 2025 Alliance Fastpitch Player Advisory Committee

The Alliance Fastpitch launched the Player Advisory Committee (PAC) in 2023 to give our youth players a national voice. As an organization who puts the player first, the Alliance thought it was important to create an opportunity for our athletes to lead and provide a voice to our leadership. The PAC offers input on Alliance policies, rules, programming, and membership benefits that affect Alliance athletes’ lives on and off the field.

The PAC is represented by high school junior and senior female athletes from across the Alliance Fastpitch. Athletes come from different states and travel ball organizations. Athletes must complete a thorough application and submit a letter of recommendation to be considered for the PAC. Applications are then reviewed by a national committee and new members were added to the 2025 returners in January.

In the past, our PAC committee led a panel discussion for Alliance athletes and parents at the 2023 AFCS and organized a dinner and professional development panel at the 2024 AFCS. The current PAC is already working on social media takeovers to answer questions from athletes, building athlete resources for the Alliance Academy and live events at this year’s AFCS in Indiana for all age divisions.

“I think this is a great opportunity to be able to serve my fellow softball players. We are still a growing sport that I love beyond words so I would love the chance to contribute any way I can to better our sport. I also think that unfortunately quite often, people will simply talk about policies, rules, or anything of the sort that they want to change, but never put action behind those words. “I’m interested in serving on the Player Advisory Committee because I’m passionate about improving the softball experience for players….I want to be a voice for the players, ensuring that their concerns and ideas are heard, while also working collaboratively with developers to find solutions that align with both player expectations and organizational goals. Being part of this committee would give me the opportunity to contribute meaningfully ideas to shaping the future of the game of softball and making sure players enjoy their time playing travel ball.” Alyssa Hopkins, 2025, VA Glory
